Bill and Ted's excellent adventure

I saw this long ago as a child and recently watched it again to show it to a friend.  It's an excellent cinematic indulgence -- simple premise, colorful cast of characters, and fanciful adventure all grounded in the modern (if you consider 1988 modern) suburban experience.  Although I wouldn't call it educational, I would definitely say that before I saw this movie I didn't know who a lot of the historical figures mentioned were.  Their portrayal in the movie has always been the image I conjure whenever they come up in conversation (some memorable ones: Socrates, Billy the kid, Sigmund Freud, Genghis Khan).
